Goodbye to all the above and Hello to a new place that Ben and I moved to! Pictures to follow... sometime.
Yup, we moved (this is nicely put.... basically we had 30 days to get out....) out of ghetto basement apartment and moved into a bigger, nicer, more expensive (obviously) place.
I love the area that we're in. EVERYONE is seriously SO NICE (like the "how-can-you-be-this-nice" kind of nice) and I love the ward that we are in.
You'll have to come visit us sometime*
*Sometime (sum-time): adv. 1. at some not specified or definitely known point of time. 2. when all the boxes are unpacked and my place is organized.

Happy Birthday/Mother'sDay Mom!
"A mother is she who can take the place of all others but
whose place no one else can take."
-- Cardinal Mermillod
Thanks for putting up with all of us!

I really do owe everything to my mother. She is an amazing example to me.
I hope that one day I can be as awesome (and as patient) as you, mom!

Ben got his baby....
So remember that post about Ben and I being spontaneous sometimes....
Yeah..... about that .....
We were sitting (again! Maybe that is why we try to stay so active... so that we don't do things like this!!) and talking about how bad my day was at work. Ben asked me what would make me feel better......

Trina: I don't know.... I wish I had new clothes. But not really though. We really need to save money for your tuition and things.
Ben: Yeah, but you had a bad day and we have a little extra cash laying around. Let's get you clothes.
Trina: No, that's not fair to you. It's okay, I'll be alright (which all us women know that really means "please, please, please buy me lots and lots of things... NOW!)
Ben: Well, let's make a deal. I get my gun if you get new clothes. Deal?
Trina: (thinking deal over..... gun = lots more money than a new outfit.... in fact, gun = lots and lots of new outfits) DEAL! Let's go before we actually realize what a bad idea this is!!

And just like last time, I grabbed the keys and Ben grabbed his wallet. The only thing different this time was that Ben got the big thing and I got the little one....
Ben is getting this little "baby" (we had to order it though....he'll get it in a few days)

And I got:
Why do we do this to ourselves?! I'll know I'll regret this tomorrow.... It hasn't even been a year since our piano/soccer cleat purchase!!
..... OR....
Maybe I should tell Ben that every day is a bad day.....
Ben is getting this little "baby" (we had to order it though....he'll get it in a few days)

And I got:
- 4 new pairs of shoes (one for work, one for church during the summer time, and of course, 2 sets of flips (flip flops).... man, I forgot how expensive shoes can get!)
- 4 movies (Get this, all 3 X-men movies were in a set for $10!!!! T.E.N!!! it was at Walmart... I almost bought another one just because it was $10)
- 6 pair of pants (mostly for school during the summer... I'm so excited, we can wear bermuda shorts and capris to work! I LOVE Old Navy)
- 1 shirt (I always struggle with these.... but I finally found one that I thought was decent!)
- 1 C.B. radio (yeah... this wasn't for me, it was for Ben......but we decided to count it towards me so that the deal would be a little more fair)
- a "Cool Snack" (Thanks to the twins for this new phrase.... a.k.a. McDonald's strawberry milkshakes with Burger King giant straws....)
- The best part of this whole deal is that I bought black shoes for work....The pants I bought definitely do NOT match black shoes which HAS TO MEAN that I need to go back and buy another pair of shoes that do match (that's 5 pairs of new shoes!!) Because we all know that I need shoes that will match!
Why do we do this to ourselves?! I'll know I'll regret this tomorrow.... It hasn't even been a year since our piano/soccer cleat purchase!!

WE DID IT!!!

I know, I'm such a loser to blog about this right away but seriously....
WE JUST RAN A TRIATHLON!!!!
I cannot wait until the next one comes up. Everyone in our group did amazing. Good job you guys (since you are (some of) the only ones who read my blog.... haha)! You were all an inspiration for me, so thank you thank you thank you!! Isn't it an amazing feeling to know that we all did this? I love us!
*Sigh*
(Can I brag a little now? Sorry.... Usually I don't like to but....) A few hours after the tri, I had a soccer game up in Lindon.... and let me tell you, I played so much! It was the weirdest thing, you know? You do a triathlon then you expect to be sore and not play soccer but oh man. (bragging....) I was hustling back and forth, took a few shots, had really good passes and even blocked some shots! The best part was I got to take a pk (penalty kick) for our team and (more bragging here....) it was a pretty wicked awesome shot. The goalie barely got his hands on it to knock it away BUT if you've seen how awful at soccer I was before, this is definitely a big improvement.
Moral of the story: A triathlon and a soccer game in one day IS POSSIBLE without dying. Awesome.
Best. Day. Ever.

That's Miss Trina to you....
When I was in 4th grade, I wanted to be a teacher. Now before you "ooh" and "aww" over how precious my heart must have been, I need to warn you... my reasons weren't exactly in the right place. I didn't want to plant the seed of learning into the bright, young, eager hearts of children who were just waiting to soak up the knowledge I could give them. Nope. I just wanted to be a teacher so that I could write on the projector.
Well, since I've been a teacher. I've definitely been writing on the overhead so objective met, right? Nope. Turns out, there are other reasons why people want to teach. Who would have thought?! Here are just a few reasons why this whole teacher thing is actually worth more than just using the oh-so-mighty, oh-so-grand overhead projector:

I hope my children will be as cute as her.... unlikely since she is one of THE cutest girls I have EVER seen. But my chances are pretty good since she is part Hawaiian....

I love this little one.... His eye lashes are even longer than Ben's. He is always giving me hugs constantly and is always so happy to see me!

This one is going to be trouble when he gets older but seriously, how could he when he looks this cute?!

... And if you could have favorite students, this next one would be mine. This darling girl is my absolute favorite. She is adorable, smart, funny, and appropriate ALWAYS ... something teachers love love love.

I call her my little chipmunk.... as if you couldn't tell from the face we are making.

Anyways, moral of the story: yes, writing on the overhead is fun but believe it or not, there are other reasons why being a teacher is so rewarding! Actually, I can think of 22 reasons.... and they are all just as enjoyable as these ones!!

These are some of the brightest boys in my class. I can always count on them to help me out when I'm drowning in front of the class. They're doing a science project that demonstrates Newton's 3rd Law in this pic. PS. the one in the red shirt should be in 2nd grade.... he's reading at a 9th grade level. Crazy, huh?!

These cute boys are always SO eager to learn. They make me laugh even when they are getting into trouble :)
The one on the left (dark blue shirt) is one of the younger kids in my class.... way to smart for his age.

It Finally Happened .... *** Updated with Pictures Now!***
After 2 years and some odd months of playing hundreds of sports and playing like crazy, it has finally happened... Ladies and gentlemen, we have our first broken bone! And luckily (for me), it's Ben's hand and not mine :) He broke it on April 1st (yeah, everyone thought we were playing an April Fools joke but we werent) playing football. It was in the first few minutes of the game. Ben was rushing and he ran into the guy that was blocking him. It forced him to the ground and he landed right on his hand.... every 155 lbs (pure "muscle" (as he likes to call it)) of Ben. Ben is a pretty tough guy. Not much can hurt him. So when I saw him run off the field, cradling his hand, I knew it was more than just a little something. Ouch!
Anyways, you don't have to know the rest of the story but basically he broke 2 metacarpals (his middle finger and ring finger) in his RIGHT hand ... and yup, he's right-handed. He'll get a cast as soon as the swelling goes down (for a small visual, it looks like he has that elephantitize syndrome.... it's disgusting). I think the best part of this whole story was that we called April to wish her a happy birthday while we were driving to the Urgent Care facility and didn't tell her about what happened. We didn't want to worry her on her birthday...... :)

*** Update: As always, pictures don't really do the real thing justice.... But I'm pretty sure you get the picture. Also, I forgot to add that Ben had a basketball game after the football game. And yes, he went to that game and played in it after (not very well I might add. Picture someone playing basketball with your wrists and not your hands... pretty funny). Boys.....
PS. I've started on a few of my home-made crafts for the 3 of you..... I should finish in about 2 weeks when I am on spring break so that I'll have more time to do them!! :)
